Data-entry templates

These templates and their instructions are public. The general workbook contains descriptive statistics, frequency and percentage, t test, chi-square, ANOVA, CRD and RCBD sheets. The plant-ecology workbook covers diversity, site similarity, vegetation/IVI and basal area.

For analysis, use unique variable names in the first row and one observation per later row. Native SPSS `.sav` and `.zsav` files are not supported; export the SPSS Data View as `.xlsx` or CSV.

Sample size for one proportion

For a simple random survey estimating one yes/no outcome. Enter the expected prevalence and the margin of error you can accept.

Methods and use

These free tools provide basic exploratory calculations. Check study design, assumptions, missing values, sampling effort, and reporting requirements before using a result in a thesis or publication. Correlation, regression and advanced ecological modelling are not included in this free section.
